The size would be more practical if it was either smaller or larger. Just not a good size. The size is listed and it seemed like it would be useful, but now that we are using it, I wish it was larger. It would be nice as a desk mat, or a mouse pad. This in between size just isn’t great. The material is thin and a firm smooth plastic. I prefer the silky material on a foam backing for comfort on my work surface. It is a nice product, and is as described.
